Kenneth Denton

December 16, 2016

Kenneth Lyle Denton born June 20, 1944, died December 16, 2016, after a very long 11-year battle with multiple myeloma cancer.

Kenny was born in Bremerton, Washington, in 1944 to Wilmer Charles Denton and Mary Myrtle Luke. Raised in Kirkland, Washington, Kenny went to Lake Washington High School.

He later moved to Ketchikan, Alaska, where he worked for Boyer Barge Lines and Alaska Marine Lines operating forklifts and driving trucks.

Alaska is also where Kenny met and married his soul mate and best friend, Shelley. They later moved to Sequim in 2001 to start a whole new life and opened a new business, Country Paws Resort.

Kenny loved to look out at the mountains from his home and feed the birds. He also enjoyed taking care of all the boarding dogs.

Kenny had many passions. He loved to go camping, fishing and crabbing with his wife, Shelley, and family. He also loved a good game of cribbage.

He is survived by his wife, Shelley; sons Rick and Joe Denton; stepchildren Jeremy, Amber, Will and Cathy; brothers Bill and Ron; sisters Sue and Debbie; and of course, all his four-legged kids at Country Paws Resort.

He was preceded in death by his brothers Jim and Bob Denton.
